Mark 4:1-20

The parable of the sower and the seed (Mark 4) is a call to cultivate the soil of our hearts to receive 'the word'. The 'word' is a synecdoche for the whole of who Christ is...his teaching, his life, his death, his resurrection and his reign in the kingdom of God. The seed of the sower represents the life of God in the hearts of people.
